Exclusive Mode Transitions - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240331312 titled 'Exclusive Mode Transitions
The present disclosure focuses on transitioning an artificial reality (XR) experience from a shared experience environment to an exclusive mode, where non-selected XR experiences are hidden or inactive during the transition.
- XR experiences in shared environments are limited by rules, such as restricted content areas.
- Transitioning to exclusive mode allows selected XR experiences to access additional resources like processing capacity and memory.
- Exclusive mode provides greater capabilities and functionalities to the selected XR experience.
Potential Applications: - Enhanced XR gaming experiences - Improved XR training simulations - Interactive XR storytelling platforms
Problems Solved: - Overcoming limitations of shared XR environments - Providing exclusive access to resources for selected XR experiences
Benefits: - Enhanced performance and capabilities for XR applications - Improved user experience and immersion in XR environments
Commercial Applications: Title: "Revolutionizing XR Experiences: Commercial Applications of Exclusive Mode Transitioning" This technology can be utilized in various industries such as gaming, education, and entertainment to enhance XR experiences and provide users with more immersive and interactive content.
Prior Art: Researchers can explore existing patents related to XR technologies, shared experience environments, and exclusive mode transitioning to gain insights into the evolution of this technology.
Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in XR technologies, exclusive mode transitioning, and shared experience environments to leverage the latest innovations in the field.
Questions about XR: 1. How does exclusive mode transitioning impact the overall user experience in XR applications? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing exclusive mode transitioning in XR environments?
Original Abstract Submitted
aspects of the present disclosure are directed to transitioning an artificial reality (xr) experience, of multiple xr experiences, from operating in a shared experience environment to operating in an exclusive mode, where other non-selected xr experiences are hidden or otherwise placed into an inactive state during the transitioning process. when an xr experience operates in the shared experience environment, the xr experience can be limited by or otherwise constrained by one or more rules of the shared experience environment—such as a specified area into which the xr experience can write content. when an xr experience transitions to exclusive mode, the selected xr experience can access resources that are otherwise unavailable to the selected xr experience in the shared experience environment. for example, transitioned xr experience can access a greater amount of processing capacity, display real estate, and/or memory of the xr device.
