CONTEXTUAL COLLABORATION FOR CONFERENCING SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240214464 titled 'CONTEXTUAL COLLABORATION FOR CONFERENCING SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes systems and methods for providing contextual collaborating for conferencing. This involves using radio signals to authenticate participants and determine their location in real-time during a conference.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Establishing a remote network connection with a conferencing device for audio or visual communication.
  • Communicating with devices associated with participants to authenticate and enable communication.
  • Real-time determination of participant interactions based on received radio signals.
  • Enhancing the conferencing experience by providing contextual information about participants.

Potential Applications: This technology could be applied in various industries such as telecommunication, video conferencing, virtual meetings, and remote collaboration tools.

Problems Solved: This technology addresses the challenges of authenticating participants, determining their location, and enhancing the overall conferencing experience with real-time contextual information.

Benefits:

  • Improved participant authentication and security.
  • Enhanced conferencing experience with real-time contextual information.
  • Increased efficiency and productivity in remote collaboration.

Commercial Applications: The technology could be utilized by companies offering video conferencing solutions, remote collaboration tools, and telecommunication services to enhance user experience and security.

Prior Art: Prior art related to this technology may include research on location-based authentication systems, real-time interaction tracking in conferencing, and context-aware communication technologies.

Frequently Updated Research: Researchers may be exploring advancements in radio signal processing, location-based services, and real-time interaction tracking to further enhance the capabilities of this technology.

Questions about Contextual Collaborating for Conferencing: 1. How does this technology improve the security of conferencing sessions? 2. What are the potential privacy concerns associated with using radio signals to determine participant interactions?

Original Abstract Submitted

systems and methods for providing contextual collaborating for conferencing are disclosed. in various examples, a system may include a computing device that may establish a remote network connection with a conferencing device configured to enable at least one of audio or visual communication between a group of participants. the computing device may communicate, via radio signals, with a device associated with, on, and/or near a first participant. the computing device may determine a location of the device based on received radio signals and may authenticate the first participant with the conferencing device to enable communication between the first participant and the group of participants. the computing device may also determine, in real time, an interaction of the first participant with the conferencing device, based on the received radio signals emitted from the device.
