- Heater positioned adjacent to the trays
- Ice bin for storing ice
- Full ice level sensing means
- Control unit for managing the ice making process
Potential Applications: - Household refrigeration - Commercial refrigeration - Food storage and preservation
Problems Solved: - Efficient ice making and storage - Controlled ice production - Preventing ice overflow in the bin
Benefits: - Convenient ice making process - Energy-efficient operation - Improved ice storage capacity
Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Refrigerator Technology for Efficient Ice Making and Storage This technology can be used in residential refrigerators, commercial freezers, and other cooling appliances to enhance ice making and storage capabilities, catering to the needs of households and businesses alike.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the ice making process work in this refrigerator? - The ice making process involves the first and second trays in the ice making cell, where water phase-changes into ice by the cold air. 2. What sets this refrigerator apart from traditional models in terms of ice production? - This refrigerator innovatively combines trays, a driving unit, and a heater to optimize the ice making and separating processes.
Original Abstract Submitted
the refrigerator of the present invention comprises: a storage compartment where food is stored; a cold air supply means for supplying cold air to the storage compartment; a first tray forming a part of an ice making cell which is a space where water phase-changes into ice by the cold air; a second tray which forms another part of the ice making cell and which can be brought into contact with the first tray during an ice making process, and which is connected to a driving unit so as to be spaced apart from the first tray during an ice separating process; a heater positioned adjacent to at least one of the first tray and the second tray; an ice bin for storing ice dropped from the ice making cell; a full ice level sensing means for sensing a full ice level of the ice bin; and a control unit for controlling the heater and the driving unit.
