DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240264335 titled 'DISPLAY DEVICE

The display device described in the patent application consists of a display panel with specific reflectance properties, a first layer with different transmittance values in various wavelength ranges, a barrier film, and a second layer.

  • The display panel has a higher reflectance at a wavelength of 650 nm to 680 nm compared to a wavelength of 420 nm to 440 nm.
  • The first layer on the display panel has different transmittance values in three distinct wavelength ranges.
  • A barrier film is placed on top of the first layer to provide additional protection.
  • The second layer is positioned on the barrier film to complete the display device.

Original Abstract Submitted

provided is a display device. the display device comprises a display panel in which a 1-1-th reflectance at a wavelength of 650 nm to 680 nm is larger than a 1-2-th reflectance at a wavelength of 420 nm to 440 nm; a first layer which is disposed on the display panel and has a first transmittance in a first wavelength range, a second transmittance in a second wavelength range different from the first wavelength range, and a third transmittance in a third wavelength range different from the first wavelength range and the second wavelength range; a barrier film disposed on the first layer; and a second layer disposed on the barrier film.
