Original Abstract Submitted

a foldable display device includes a display panel including a display area and a non-display area configured to surround the display area, the display panel including a folding area defined in the display area and the non-display area, and non-folding areas disposed at two opposite sides in the folding area; a cover window disposed on the display panel and having a smaller size than the display panel; and a bonding layer disposed between the cover window and the display panel and configured to adjoin a bottom surface of the cover window, in which an end of the bonding layer in the folding area protrudes beyond an end of the bonding layer disposed in the non-folding areas in a direction of a folding axis. therefore, even though bubbles are formed by repeated folding operations in the folding reliability test, the bubbles cannot be visible from the outside, thereby reducing the defect rate.
