LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240224569 titled 'LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY DEVICE

The abstract describes a light emitting display device with multiple light emitting portions emitting different colors of light, including white light.

  • The device includes a first area with light emitting portions emitting three different colors of light.
  • A second area adjacent to the first area includes light emitting portions emitting the same colors of light, as well as white light.
  • Each light emitting portion consists of multiple stacks, with at least one continuous light emitting layer extending into the seventh light emitting portion from one of the other portions.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in displays for electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and TVs. - It can also be applied in signage, advertising displays, and automotive lighting.

Problems Solved: - Provides a more versatile and dynamic display with the ability to emit different colors of light. - Offers improved color accuracy and brightness in display technology.

Benefits: - Enhanced visual experience for users with vibrant and accurate colors. - Increased flexibility in design and functionality for display manufacturers.

Commercial Applications: - Display manufacturers can incorporate this technology into their products to offer consumers more visually appealing and versatile displays, potentially increasing market competitiveness.

Questions about the Technology: 1. How does the continuous light emitting layer in the stacks contribute to the overall performance of the display device? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this technology in various display applications?
