Display Apparatus - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240215296 titled 'Display Apparatus

The abstract describes a display apparatus with a substrate containing a display area and at least one non-display area, light emitting devices, transistors, and power wiring. The non-display area includes a camera hole area and a disconnection area with a closed loop shape.

  • The display apparatus includes a substrate with distinct display and non-display areas.
  • It features light emitting devices and transistors in the display area for functionality.
  • Power wiring is located in the non-display area, connecting the transistors and light emitting devices.
  • The non-display area includes a camera hole area and a disconnection area with a closed loop shape.
  • The closed loop shape of the disconnection area enhances stability against moisture and oxygen permeation.

Potential Applications: This technology can be used in various display devices such as smartphones, tablets, and monitors.

Problems Solved: The display apparatus addresses issues related to moisture and oxygen permeation, ensuring stability and longevity of the device.

Benefits: Enhanced stability against moisture and oxygen permeation, leading to improved durability and performance of the display apparatus.

Commercial Applications: This technology can be applied in the consumer electronics industry for manufacturing advanced display devices with increased reliability and longevity.

Prior Art: Prior research in the field of display technology may include studies on moisture and oxygen permeation in electronic devices.

Frequently Updated Research: Ongoing research in display technology focuses on improving device durability and performance through innovative design elements.

Questions about the Display Apparatus: 1. How does the closed loop shape of the disconnection area contribute to stability against moisture and oxygen permeation?

  - The closed loop shape creates a barrier that enhances the device's resistance to external elements.

2. What are the potential implications of this technology for the consumer electronics market?

  - This technology could lead to the development of more reliable and durable display devices for consumers.

Original Abstract Submitted

provided is a display apparatus according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure which includes a substrate including a display area and at least one non-display area; a light emitting device and a plurality of transistors disposed in the display area of the substrate; and a power wiring disposed in the at least one non-display area and electrically connected to the plurality of transistors and the light emitting device. the at least one non-display area includes a camera hole area and a disconnection area, and the disconnection area has a closed loop shape to surround the camera hole area. therefore, provided is a display apparatus that is more stable for permeation of moisture and oxygen.
