System and method for producing a video stream - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240267488 titled 'System and method for producing a video stream

The patent application describes a method, systems, and computer program product for providing a shared digital video stream. This involves collecting two digital video streams, producing a shared stream based on the first stream, introducing deliberate latency, analyzing the streams to detect triggers, and producing the shared stream based on the second stream or the first source with different cropping, zooming, panning, or focus plane selection.

  • Collection of two digital video streams
  • Production of a shared stream based on the first stream
  • Introduction of deliberate latency
  • Analysis of streams to detect triggers
  • Production of the shared stream with different visual elements based on the second stream or the first source

Potential Applications: - Live streaming events with multiple sources - Video conferencing with customizable views - Surveillance systems with enhanced monitoring capabilities

Problems Solved: - Providing a shared video stream with selective visibility of sources - Introducing deliberate latency for trigger detection - Customizing shared streams based on specific criteria

Benefits: - Enhanced control over shared video content - Improved user experience with customizable views - Increased security through trigger detection

Commercial Applications: Title: "Enhanced Video Streaming Technology for Customizable Views" This technology can be used in live event streaming, video conferencing platforms, and surveillance systems to provide users with customizable views and enhanced monitoring capabilities. The market implications include improved user engagement, increased security measures, and potential revenue streams from enhanced video services.

Prior Art: Further research can be conducted in the field of video streaming technologies, trigger detection systems, and video analysis methods to explore existing solutions related to the concepts described in the patent application.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in video streaming technologies, trigger detection systems, and video analysis methods to leverage the latest innovations in the field.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the deliberate introduction of latency impact the detection of triggers in the video streams? 2. What are the potential implications of customizing shared video streams based on different visual elements for user experience and security measures?

Original Abstract Submitted

method, systems and computer program product for providing a shared digital video stream. a first and a second digital video stream are collected. the shared stream is produced based on said first stream, so that the first source is visible in the shared stream, but so that the second source is not visible in the shared stream. a latency with respect to the first and the second digital video stream is deliberately introduced. the first and/or second stream are analyzed in to detect a trigger, based on detection of a predetermined image and/or audio pattern. the shared stream is produced based on the second stream and/or based on the first source, but with at least one of: a different cropping, a different zooming, a different panning or a different focus plane selection. the output stream is provided to a consumer.
