CARBON DIOXIDE-GENERATING NANOMATERIAL - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240293315 titled 'CARBON DIOXIDE-GENERATING NANOMATERIAL

The present invention involves a carbon dioxide-generating micelle that utilizes a material with high biocompatibility and a multi-arm structure to produce a large amount of carbon dioxide. By incorporating a ligand (peptide), intracellular penetration is improved, allowing for targeted adipocyte treatment with minimal impact on surrounding tissues.

  • Material with high biocompatibility
  • Multi-arm structure for increased carbon dioxide generation
  • Improved intracellular penetration with a ligand (peptide)
  • Targeted treatment of adipocytes
  • Minimal impact on surrounding tissues

Potential Applications: - Local lipolysis supplements - Diet and beauty products targeting localized fat breakdown

Problems Solved: - Enhanced carbon dioxide generation compared to conventional micelles - Improved intracellular penetration for targeted treatment

Benefits: - Increased efficiency in fat breakdown - Targeted treatment with minimal side effects

Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Carbon Dioxide-Generating Micelle for Targeted Fat Breakdown This technology can be utilized in the development of localized fat reduction products in the beauty and wellness industry, offering a more effective and targeted approach to fat breakdown.

Questions about Carbon Dioxide-Generating Micelle: 1. How does the use of a ligand (peptide) improve intracellular penetration in this technology?

  - The ligand (peptide) enhances intracellular penetration by targeting specific cells, such as adipocytes, for more effective treatment.

2. What sets this carbon dioxide-generating micelle apart from conventional polyethylene glycol-based micelles in terms of carbon dioxide generation?

  - The multi-arm structure of this micelle allows for the production of a larger amount of carbon dioxide, leading to enhanced fat breakdown capabilities.

Original Abstract Submitted

the present invention relates to a carbon dioxide-generating micelle. in the present invention, a micelle which uses a material with high biocompatibility and has a multi-arm structure capable of generating a large amount of carbon dioxide is produced, and thus, a greater amount of carbon dioxide can be generated, as compared to conventional polyethylene glycol-based micelles. in addition, in the present invention, intracellular penetration is improved by using a ligand (peptide), and thus, it is possible to target adipocytes and minimize effects on surrounding tissues and cells. the carbon dioxide-generating micelle according to the present invention can be produced as an injectable preparation, and can be applied to local lipolysis supplements or diet and beauty products that break down localized fat.
