Connector Locking Device - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240347974 titled 'Connector Locking Device
The abstract describes a connector locking device that includes a first connector, a second connector with a guide hole containing a locking protrusion and locking groove, a connector position assurance (CPA) member fastened to the locking groove to prevent decoupling, and a slider on the second connector that moves perpendicular to the fastening direction. The CPA member has a mating guide groove for the slider's mating guide protrusion, allowing it to move in the same direction as the slider.
- First connector coupled to a second connector with a guide hole and locking protrusion.
- Connector position assurance (CPA) member prevents decoupling by fastening to the locking groove.
- Slider on the second connector moves perpendicular to the fastening direction.
- CPA member has a mating guide groove for the slider's mating guide protrusion.
- CPA member and slider move in the same direction, intersecting the advancement or retraction of the slider.
