this application provides a method and an apparatus for power allocation. one example method includes: a control apparatus receives capability information from a radio frequency apparatus, where the capability information indicates a correspondence between a power boost amplitude of a first channel and a power back-off amplitude of a second channel. the control apparatus sends first indication information to the radio frequency apparatus, where the first indication information indicates that the power boost amplitude of the first channel is a first amplitude and indicates that the power back-off amplitude of the second channel is a second amplitude, and the first amplitude and the second amplitude are determined based on the capability information and a required boost amplitude of the first channel.
