embodiments of this application provide a communication method and apparatus. the method includes: a first node generates node configuration information and sends the node configuration information to a second node, where the node configuration information is used for conversion of a first beam set sent by the first node into a second beam set sent by the second node. this method is applied to a smart repeater for smart beam forwarding.
