APPLICATION STATUS AWARENESS METHOD, RELATED DEVICE, AND RELATED SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240184622 titled 'APPLICATION STATUS AWARENESS METHOD, RELATED DEVICE, AND RELATED SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract of the patent application describes a method involving querying the running status of an application on a device, storing application status information, and sending this information to another device when the first device is in a sleep state.

  • Querying running status of an application on a device
  • Storing application status information with identifier and running status
  • Sending application status information to another device when the first device is in a sleep state

Potential Applications: This technology could be used in mobile devices, smart home systems, and IoT devices to efficiently manage and monitor the running status of applications across multiple devices.

Problems Solved: This technology solves the problem of not being able to monitor the running status of applications on a device when it is in a sleep state, allowing for better management and control of applications.

Benefits: The benefits of this technology include improved efficiency in monitoring application status, seamless transfer of information between devices, and enhanced user experience in managing applications.

Potential Commercial Applications: Commercial applications of this technology could include mobile device management systems, smart home automation platforms, and IoT device networks for seamless application monitoring and control.

Possible Prior Art: One possible prior art could be systems that allow for remote monitoring and control of devices, but may not specifically address the transfer of application status information between devices in a sleep state.

Unanswered Questions:

1. How does this technology handle security and privacy concerns when transferring application status information between devices? 2. Are there any limitations to the types of applications or devices that can be monitored using this method?

Frequently Updated Research: There is ongoing research in the field of device communication protocols and data transfer methods that could potentially impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the method described in this patent application.

Original Abstract Submitted

embodiments disclosed herein may include a method. the method may include: querying, by a first device, a running status of a first application on the first device; storing, by the first device, application status information, wherein the application status information comprises a correspondence between an identifier of the first application and the running status of the first application; and sending, by the first device, the application status information to a second device when the first device is in a sleep state, to enable the second device to determine the running status of the first application.
