INTERACTION METHOD AND INTERACTION APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240177597 titled 'INTERACTION METHOD AND INTERACTION APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application relates to intelligent transportation and vehicle technologies, specifically in the context of traffic scenarios such as self-driving vehicles. The application describes methods for roadside devices to interact with each other and with a server to exchange feature information and global identifiers of traffic participants.

  • Roadside devices exchange feature information and global identifiers to identify traffic participants.
  • A server configures global identifiers based on feature information reported by roadside devices.

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in various traffic scenarios, including self-driving vehicles, traffic management systems, and smart city initiatives.

Problems Solved

1. Improved identification and communication between traffic participants. 2. Enhanced data exchange and coordination in intelligent transportation systems.

Benefits

1. Increased safety and efficiency on the roads. 2. Better traffic flow and management. 3. Facilitation of autonomous driving technologies.

Potential Commercial Applications

"Intelligent Traffic Participant Identification Technology for Smart Cities"

Possible Prior Art

Prior art may include existing systems for traffic participant identification and communication in intelligent transportation systems.

Unanswered Questions

How does this technology handle privacy concerns related to the exchange of feature information and global identifiers?

The patent application does not address the specific privacy measures or protocols in place to protect the data exchanged between roadside devices and the server.

What are the scalability limitations of this technology in large-scale traffic scenarios?

The patent application does not provide information on how this technology would perform or scale in highly congested or complex traffic environments.

Original Abstract Submitted

this application relates to the field of intelligent transportation and intelligent vehicle technologies, and may be applied to a plurality of traffic scenarios, for example, a self-driving scenario. an example interaction method includes obtaining, by a first roadside device, first feature information of a traffic participant; and indicating, by a second roadside device, second feature information and a global identifier to the first roadside device. if the first feature information matches the second feature information, the first roadside device uses the global identifier to indicate the first feature information. a further interaction method includes configuring, by a server, a global identifier of a traffic participant based on feature information reported by a roadside device.
