a coil unit includes: a coil; a housing that accommodates the coil; and an inner member that is inserted in an empty core region of the coil. the coil transmits electric power in a contactless manner to an electric power reception device. the housing is fixed to a rear surface of a lid of a manhole buried in the ground of a travel path. the inner member protrudes to the outside through the housing. a surface of the inner member is exposed to the outside from a surface of the lid portion.
