IMAGING CONTROL APPARATUS AND IMAGING CONTROL PROGRAM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240259694 titled 'IMAGING CONTROL APPARATUS AND IMAGING CONTROL PROGRAM

    • Simplified Explanation:**

An imaging control apparatus adjusts the exposure time of a camera based on the detection of objects in the image to improve color identification and reduce flicker.

    • Key Features and Innovation:**
  • Detects first and second objects in images captured by a camera.
  • Adjusts exposure time based on object luminance.
  • Shorter exposure time when only the first object is detected.
  • Longer exposure time when the second object is detected.
  • Prevents color identification issues and flickering in images.
    • Potential Applications:**

This technology can be used in various industries such as surveillance, photography, and machine vision systems where accurate color identification and minimal flicker are essential.

    • Problems Solved:**

The technology addresses the issue of inaccurate color identification and flickering in images by adjusting the exposure time of the camera based on the objects detected.

    • Benefits:**
  • Improved color identification in images.
  • Reduced risk of flickering.
  • Enhanced image quality and clarity.
    • Commercial Applications:**

This technology can be applied in security cameras, digital cameras, and industrial automation systems to ensure accurate color representation and minimize flickering in images, enhancing overall image quality and performance.

    • Questions about the Technology:**

1. How does the imaging control apparatus detect objects in images? 2. What are the specific industries that can benefit from this technology?

    • Frequently Updated Research:**

Stay updated on advancements in imaging technology, camera sensors, and object detection algorithms to enhance the performance and capabilities of the imaging control apparatus.

Original Abstract Submitted

an imaging control apparatus is configured to detect a first object and a second object appearing on an image captured by a camera. the first object is higher in luminance than the second object. when the second object is not detected on the image, the imaging control apparatus works to adjusts an exposure time of the camera to a first exposure time which is used when the first object is detected. alternatively. when the second object is detected, the imaging control apparatus adjusts the exposure time of the camera to a second exposure time which is longer than the first exposure time. this eliminates a failure in identifying colors on the image and also minimizes a risk of appearance of flicker on the image.
