systems and methods for providing seamless switching of audio and/or video devices during workspace state transition are described. in an embodiment, an information handling system (ihs) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the ihs to: receive, during a collaboration session facilitated by a collaboration application, an indication of a workspace state transition, where the collaboration application is configured to receive audio or video data from an audio or video device via a device handle; and in response to the workspace state transition, map a different audio or video device to the device handle, where the collaboration application is configured to receive additional audio or video data from the different audio or video device via the device handle.
