an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method performed, by an exercise performance comparison device, of comparing exercise performance between users with different physical strength characteristics and physical conditions. to this end, the method collects workout data by communicating with each piece of fitness equipment used by users constituting a first group and users constituting a second group, and then, based thereon, calculating a fitness index of the users, and comparing exercise performance between the first group and the second group.
