a display apparatus includes a plurality of light sources which are aligned side by side in a first direction; and a light guiding unit configured to have an incident surface on which light from the at least one of the plurality of light sources is incident and an emitting surface from which light from the incident surface is emitted and include openings provided in positions along a second direction with respect to positions of the plurality of light sources respectively, the second direction intersects the first direction.
