Questions about Image Forming Apparatus: 1. What are the key components of an image forming apparatus? 2. How does the re-conveyance portion contribute to the efficiency of the printing process?
Original Abstract Submitted
an image forming apparatus includes a re-conveyance portion to reverse a sheet on which a first toner image is transferred on a first surface by a transfer portion and to convey the sheet to the transfer portion again, and first and second detecting portions to detect positions in a widthwise direction of the sheet. the first detecting portion detects a first detecting position before the first toner image is transferred to first surface and the second detecting portion detects a second detecting position after the first toner image is transferred and before a second toner image is transferred on a second surface. a controller determines a first image forming position where a latent image is formed on a photosensitive member before the first detecting position is detected and determines a second image forming position based on the first image forming position, and the first and second detecting positions.
