Questions about Image Forming Apparatus: 1. What are the key components of an image forming apparatus?

  - An image forming apparatus typically includes an image bearing member, toner, an intermediary transfer belt, and a fusing unit.

2. How does the detachable collecting container improve maintenance in image forming devices?

  - The detachable collecting container allows for easy removal and disposal of residual toner, reducing the risk of contamination and ensuring smooth operation.

Original Abstract Submitted

an image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member for bearing a toner image to form a toner image, an intermediary transfer belt onto which the toner image is transferred, a first detachable collecting container to collect residual toner discharged from the image forming portion, and a second detachable collecting container to collect the residual toner discharged from the image forming portion. the first and second collecting containers are provided below a lower surface of the intermediary transfer belt and disposed side by side in a widthwise direction perpendicular to a rotational axis direction of the image bearing member, and at least a part of the first and second collecting containers overlap with the intermediary transfer belt as viewed in the vertical direction. in addition, a length of each of the first and second collecting containers in the widthwise direction is longer than the length in a height direction.
