IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240192627 titled 'IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

The patent application describes an image forming system that includes an image forming apparatus with a stacking portion capable of stacking a recording material with an adhesive region, an image forming unit, and a fixing portion. It also includes a pressure-bonding processing apparatus with a folding processing portion and a pressure-bonding portion, an inputting portion for directions of the front and back surfaces of the recording material, and a displaying portion for pressure-bonding printed matter.

  • The system can stack recording materials with adhesive regions for image formation.
  • It includes a pressure-bonding processing apparatus for folding and pressure-bonding the recording material.
  • An inputting portion allows for specifying directions of the front and back surfaces of the recording material.
  • The displaying portion shows pressure-bonded printed matter based on inputted directions.

Potential Applications: - Printing and binding processes in publishing industry - Manufacturing of adhesive labels and stickers - Production of folded and pressure-bonded documents in offices

Problems Solved: - Efficiently stack and process recording materials with adhesive regions - Simplify the pressure-bonding process for printed matter

Benefits: - Streamlined workflow for printing and finishing processes - Improved accuracy in pressure-bonding printed materials - Enhanced customization options for folded documents

Commercial Applications: "Integrated Image Forming and Pressure-Bonding System for Printing and Finishing Processes"

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in image forming and pressure-bonding technologies for enhanced efficiency and quality.

Original Abstract Submitted

an image forming system includes an image forming apparatus including a stacking portion capable of stacking a recording material having an adhesive region in which an adhesive is applied onto a surface of the recording material, an image forming unit for forming an image on the recording material, and a fixing portion for fixing the image formed on the recording material; a pressure-bonding processing apparatus including a folding processing portion for folding the recording material fed from the image forming apparatus, and a pressure-bonding portion capable of pressure-bonding the recording material folded by the folding processing portion under pressure application; an inputting portion capable of inputting directions of a front surface and a back surface of the recording material stacked on the stacking portion; and a displaying portion for displaying a pressure-bonding printed matter, on which the image is formed, depending on a result inputted by the inputting portion.
