DISPLAY PANEL, DISPLAY DEVICE, FABRICATING METHOD AND CONTROL METHOD OF DISPLAY PANEL - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240223936 titled 'DISPLAY PANEL, DISPLAY DEVICE, FABRICATING METHOD AND CONTROL METHOD OF DISPLAY PANEL

The patent application describes a display panel with integrated sound generation assemblies, where each sound generation assembly includes a vibrating membrane and an exciter.

  • The display panel comprises a display assembly substrate and pixel components, with the vibrating membrane and display assembly substrate sharing the same structure.
  • The exciter in each sound generation assembly consists of a motion part that vibrates to drive the vibrating membrane, creating sound.
  • Pixel components are positioned on the side of the vibrating membrane facing away from the exciter, ensuring sound generation does not interfere with display quality.
  • The projection of each sound generation assembly on the display assembly substrate covers projections of at least two pixel components, optimizing sound distribution.

Potential Applications: - Smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices with integrated displays and sound systems. - Public information displays in transportation hubs or museums. - Interactive educational tools with audio-visual capabilities.

Problems Solved: - Simultaneous display and sound generation in a compact, integrated system. - Ensuring sound quality and clarity without compromising visual display performance.

Benefits: - Enhanced user experience with synchronized audio and visual content. - Space-saving design for devices with limited internal space. - Improved sound distribution for a more immersive viewing experience.

Commercial Applications: "Integrated Display Panel with Sound Generation Assemblies: Revolutionizing Audio-Visual Technology in Consumer Electronics"

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the shared structure of the display assembly substrate and vibrating membrane contribute to the efficiency of sound generation? 2. What are the potential challenges in scaling this technology for larger display panels in commercial applications?

Original Abstract Submitted

a display panel and a fabricating method are provided. display panel includes a display assembly and sound generation assemblies. the display assembly comprises a display assembly substrate and a plurality of pixel components. each sound generation assembly comprises a vibrating membrane and an exciter. the exciter comprises a motion part in contact with the vibrating membrane and a drive part driving the motion part to vibrate, and the motion part vibrates to drive the vibrating membrane to vibrate. the display assembly substrate and the vibrating membrane are the same structure. the pixel components are disposed on a side of the vibrating membrane facing away from the exciter. a projection of the each sound generation assembly on the display assembly substrate covers projections of at least two pixel components on the display assembly substrate.
