METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MEAT SUBSTITUTE FOR CRUSTACEAN MEAT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240284957 titled 'METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MEAT SUBSTITUTE FOR CRUSTACEAN MEAT

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a method for manufacturing a meat substitute for crustacean meat using a 3D printer.

  • The method involves dissolving starch in water to create a starch gel.
  • The starch gel is then added to the external nozzle of a 3D printer with a double nozzle system.
  • A fish meat composition is added to the internal nozzle of the printer.
  • The starch gel and fish meat composition are simultaneously discharged and 3D-printed into a specific shape.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Utilizes starch gel and fish meat composition to create a meat substitute for crustacean meat.
  • Incorporates a 3D printer with a double nozzle system for precise printing.
  • Enables the production of customized meat substitutes in various shapes and forms.

Potential Applications:

  • Food industry for creating alternative meat products.
  • Catering to individuals with dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Research and development for innovative food manufacturing processes.

Problems Solved:

  • Provides a plant-based alternative to crustacean meat.
  • Offers a customizable solution for meat substitute production.
  • Enhances efficiency and precision in manufacturing processes.

Benefits:

  • Addresses the growing demand for sustainable and ethical food options.
  • Allows for the creation of unique and tailored meat substitutes.
  • Promotes innovation in the food industry.

Commercial Applications: The technology can be applied in the food industry to produce customized meat substitutes, catering to a diverse range of dietary needs and preferences. This innovation has the potential to revolutionize the way alternative meat products are manufactured and consumed.

Questions about Meat Substitute Manufacturing: 1. How does the use of a 3D printer enhance the production of meat substitutes? 2. What are the advantages of using starch gel in creating meat substitutes?

Original Abstract Submitted

the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a meat substitute for crustacean meat. a method for manufacturing a meat substitute for crustacean meat, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises (s) a step for dissolving starch in water to prepare a starch gel, and (s) a step for adding the starch gel into an external nozzle of a 3d printer, which has a double nozzle in which an internal nozzle is inserted and arranged inside the external nozzle, adding a fish meat composition into the internal nozzle, then discharging the starch gel and fish meat composition at the same time and 3d-printing into a predetermined form.
