Abstract: a server obtains content in a first language and receives a first request from a first client device to view the content, wherein the first client device is associated with a second language selected by a user operating the first client device. in response to receiving the first request, the server determines that the first language is different from the second language and determines that a storage of the server does not include a machine-translated version of the content in the second language. in accordance with these determinations, the server obtains a machine-translated version of the content in the second language and stores the machine-translated version of the content in the second language in the storage for subsequent requests to view the content in the second language.
