SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF TRANSACTION IDENTIFICATION GENERATION FOR TRANSACTION-BASED ENVIRONMENT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240054125 titled 'SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF TRANSACTION IDENTIFICATION GENERATION FOR TRANSACTION-BASED ENVIRONMENT

Simplified Explanation

    • Explanation:**

The patent application describes systems and methods for generating transaction identification (ID) in transaction-based environments. The generated transaction IDs define a range of values within which the transaction is valid, unlike traditional transaction ID databases where a transaction ID only comprises a hashed value. This improvement over traditional hashing schemes eliminates the need for servers to traverse an entire transaction ID database to determine the validity of incoming transactions.

    • Potential Applications:**

- Blockchain technology - Financial transactions - Supply chain management - Healthcare records

    • Problems Solved:**

- Inefficient validation of transactions in traditional databases - Lack of inherent validation range in transaction IDs - Security vulnerabilities in transaction processing

    • Benefits:**

- Improved efficiency in transaction validation - Enhanced security in transaction processing - Simplified transaction tracking and auditing

Original Abstract Submitted

described herein are systems and methods for transaction identification (id) generation in transaction-based environments. the systems and methods provided generated transaction ids which inherently define a range of values (a range of blockchain heights) within which the transaction is valid. this obviates problems associated with traditional transaction id databases where a transaction id only comprises a hashed value. that is, the presently disclosed systems and methods are an improvement over traditional hashing schemes as in traditional hashing schemes, a server must traverse an entire transaction id database to determine if an incoming transaction is valid.
