DISPLAY PANEL AND MOBILE TERMINAL - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240047378 titled 'DISPLAY PANEL AND MOBILE TERMINAL
Simplified Explanation
The present invention is a display panel and a mobile terminal. The display panel consists of a substrate and multiple barrier units that are spaced apart from each other in a peripheral area. There is an opening defined between each two adjacent barrier units. The display panel also includes a first array encapsulation unit and a second array encapsulation unit that are separate from each other. The end surfaces of each barrier unit have different areas. By using barrier units with upper and lower end surfaces of different areas, the encapsulation films are broken in the openings when they are formed. This prevents the extension of cracks.
- The invention is a display panel with multiple barrier units spaced apart in a peripheral area.
- There are openings defined between each two adjacent barrier units.
- The display panel includes separate first and second array encapsulation units.
- The end surfaces of each barrier unit have different areas.
- The use of barrier units with different end surface areas prevents cracks extension.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Display panels for mobile devices
- Display panels for televisions and monitors
- Display panels for automotive applications
Problems solved by this technology:
- Cracks extension in display panels
- Damage to encapsulation films during formation
Benefits of this technology:
- Improved durability of display panels
- Enhanced visual quality
- Longer lifespan of display panels
Original Abstract Submitted
the present invention provides a display panel and a mobile terminal. the display panel comprises a substrate and multiple barrier units spaced apart from each other in a peripheral area, an opening defined between each two adjacent barrier units, and a first array encapsulation unit and a second array encapsulation unit separate from each other. end surfaces of each barrier unit have different areas. by using the barrier units with upper and lower end surfaces of different areas, encapsulation films are broken in the openings when the encapsulation films are formed. therefore, the present invention prevents cracks extension.
