LIQUID MEDICINE ADMINISTRATION DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240017004 titled 'LIQUID MEDICINE ADMINISTRATION DEVICE
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a liquid medicine administration device that is used to administer liquid medicine into a living body. The device consists of a cylindrical body that contains a tube filled with the liquid medicine. It also includes a plunger mechanism that can move in an axial direction to push the liquid medicine out of the tube.
- The device includes a cylindrical body that houses a tube filled with liquid medicine.
- A plunger mechanism is provided in the cylindrical body to push the liquid medicine out of the tube.
- The tube is formed in a tubular shape with a discharge hole at the distal end for releasing the liquid medicine.
- The tube is compressed along the axial direction when the pressing member of the plunger mechanism moves.
- The tube is deformable towards the central axis side.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Medical field: This device can be used in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings to administer liquid medicine to patients.
- Home healthcare: It can also be used by individuals or caregivers at home to administer liquid medicine to patients who require regular medication.

Original Abstract Submitted
a liquid medicine administration device for administering a liquid medicine into a living body includes: a cylindrical body defining a space; a tube housed in the space of the cylindrical body and filled with the liquid medicine; and a plunger mechanism provided movably in an axial direction with respect to the cylindrical body, the plunger mechanism including a pressing member configured to press a proximal end of the tube toward a distal end side to push out the liquid medicine. the tube is formed in a tubular shape having a discharge hole at a distal end for discharging the liquid medicine, and is compressed along an axial direction with movement of the pressing member, and is formed to be deformable toward a central axis side.
