Displaying Representations of Environments - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18750769 titled 'Displaying Representations of Environments

The method described in the abstract involves displaying diorama-view representations based on viewing vectors that correspond to enhanced reality (ER) environments. These representations are associated with sets of ER world coordinates that define each ER environment.

  • The diorama-view representations include objects arranged according to specific ER world coordinates.
  • Users can interact with the representations by changing the viewing vector in response to input.
  • The method allows for seamless transitions between different viewing vectors while maintaining the arrangement of objects in the ER environment.

Potential Applications: - Augmented reality gaming - Virtual tours of real estate properties - Training simulations for various industries

Problems Solved: - Enhancing user experience in ER environments - Providing a more immersive and interactive viewing experience

Benefits: - Improved user engagement - Seamless transitions between different viewing perspectives - Enhanced visualization of ER environments

Commercial Applications: Title: Enhanced Reality Visualization Technology for Immersive Experiences Description: This technology can be utilized in gaming, real estate, training simulations, and other industries to provide users with a more immersive and interactive experience. It has the potential to revolutionize the way people interact with ER environments.

Questions about Enhanced Reality Visualization Technology: 1. How does this technology improve user engagement in ER environments?

  - This technology enhances user engagement by allowing users to interact with diorama-view representations and seamlessly transition between different viewing vectors.

2. What are the potential commercial applications of this technology?

  - This technology can be applied in gaming, real estate, training simulations, and other industries to create immersive and interactive experiences for users.

Original Abstract Submitted

A method includes displaying diorama-view representations from corresponding viewing vectors. The diorama-view representations respectively correspond to enhanced reality (ER) environments. Each of the diorama-view representations is associated with a respective set of ER world coordinates that characterizes a respective ER environment. The diorama-view representations include a first diorama-view representation displayed from a first viewing vector. The first diorama-view representation includes a first one or more of ER objects arranged according to a first set of ER world coordinates. The method includes detecting an input associated with the first diorama-view representation, and in response thereto, changing display of the first diorama-view representation from the first viewing vector to a second viewing vector while maintaining the first one or more ER objects arranged according to the first set of ER world coordinates.
