DRIVING APPARATUS FOR SWITCH - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18750139 titled 'DRIVING APPARATUS FOR SWITCH

Simplified Explanation:

The driving apparatus of a switch in this patent application includes a discharge unit, determination unit, fast-discharge unit, and charge unit. The discharge unit discharges electric charges from an OFF side switch, while the determination unit checks if the OFF side switch is ON or OFF. The fast-discharge unit increases the discharge rate when the OFF side switch is turning OFF, and the charge unit charges the ON side switch.

Original Abstract Submitted

A driving apparatus of a switch drives upper and lower arm switches mutually connected in serial. The driving apparatus of the switch is provided with a discharge unit that discharges electric charges from an OFF side switch, a determination unit that determines whether the OFF side switch is ON or OFF, a fast-discharge unit that changes a discharge rate of discharging electric charges, to be higher than a discharge rate in a period from when electric charges in the OFF side switch start to discharge to when determined that the OFF side switch is turned OFF, and a charge unit that charges an ON side switch.
