IMAGING LENS SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18749897 titled 'IMAGING LENS SYSTEM
Simplified Explanation
The imaging lens system described in the patent application consists of five lenses with high refractive indices, arranged at specific intervals. The system is designed to meet certain criteria related to the distance between the object side surface of the first lens and the imaging plane.
- The system includes five lenses with refractive indices of 1.6 or greater.
- The distance from the first lens to the imaging plane must meet a specific ratio requirement.
- The system is optimized for imaging performance.
Key Features and Innovation
- Five-lens imaging system with high refractive indices.
- Specific distance ratio requirement for optimal performance.
Potential Applications
The technology can be used in various imaging devices such as cameras, microscopes, and telescopes.
Problems Solved
- Improved imaging performance.
- Enhanced image quality.
Benefits
- Higher quality images.
- Improved overall performance of imaging devices.
Commercial Applications
Optimized imaging systems can be used in a wide range of commercial applications, including photography, medical imaging, and scientific research.
Questions about the Technology
What are the specific advantages of using lenses with high refractive indices in imaging systems?
Lenses with high refractive indices can help reduce aberrations and improve image quality by bending light more effectively.
How does the distance ratio requirement impact the overall performance of the imaging lens system?
The distance ratio requirement ensures that the lenses are properly aligned to achieve optimal imaging results.
Original Abstract Submitted
An imaging lens system includes a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, a fourth lens, and a fifth lens, sequentially disposed at intervals from an object side of the imaging lens system. A refractive index of each of the second lens, the third lens, the fourth lens, and the fifth lens is 1.6 or greater, and TTL/2IH<0.730, where TTL is a distance from an object side surface of the first lens to an imaging plane, and 21H is a diagonal length of the imaging plane.
