Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes methods for manufacturing and testing an ultrasonic gas leak detection device. The device includes a rotary selector, a rotary position sensing device, a button, and an ultrasonic transduction device that generates different ultrasonic signals for testing the device.

  • The apparatus includes a rotary selector, rotary position sensing device, button, and ultrasonic transduction device.
  • The ultrasonic transduction device generates different ultrasonic signals for testing the gas leak detection device.
  • The device can be tested in different modes by adjusting the rotary selector and pressing the button simultaneously.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Incorporation of a rotary selector for testing different modes of the ultrasonic gas leak detection device.
  • Use of an ultrasonic transduction device to generate specific ultrasonic signals for testing purposes.
  • Integration of a button for user interaction during testing procedures.

Potential Applications: The technology can be applied in industries where gas leak detection is critical, such as oil and gas, chemical plants, and manufacturing facilities.

Problems Solved:

  • Provides a method for efficiently testing the functionality of ultrasonic gas leak detection devices.
  • Allows for easy switching between testing modes for comprehensive evaluation of the device.

Benefits:

  • Enhances the reliability and accuracy of gas leak detection devices.
  • Streamlines the testing process for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Commercial Applications: Gas leak detection equipment manufacturers can utilize this technology to enhance the quality and performance of their products, leading to increased market competitiveness and customer satisfaction.

Questions about Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detection Device Testing: 1. How does the ultrasonic transduction device generate different ultrasonic signals for testing? 2. What are the potential advantages of using a rotary selector for testing gas leak detection devices?

Original Abstract Submitted

Methods for manufacturing an apparatus for testing an ultrasonic gas leak detection device and methods for testing an ultrasonic gas leak detection device are disclosed. An example method includes disposing a rotary selector around a housing, disposing a rotary position sensing device within the housing, disposing a button on the housing, and disposing an ultrasonic transduction device within the housing, wherein the ultrasonic transduction device is configured to generate a first ultrasonic signal for testing the ultrasonic gas leak detection device when the first rotary position corresponds to the first testing mode and the button simultaneously corresponds to the depressed state, and generate a second ultrasonic signal for testing the ultrasonic gas leak detection device when the second rotary position corresponds to the second testing mode and the button simultaneously corresponds to the depressed state, wherein the second ultrasonic signal is different from the first ultrasonic signal.
