ONBOARD CONTROL APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18700058 titled 'ONBOARD CONTROL APPARATUS

The abstract of the patent application describes an onboard control apparatus that includes a duty ratio control unit, a current control unit, and a switching unit. The duty ratio control unit controls the duty ratio to turn a switch on and off at a set ratio, while the current control unit changes the current supplied to the resistor portion. The switching unit switches to current control when a specific condition is met during duty ratio control.

  • Duty ratio control unit for switching on and off at a set ratio
  • Current control unit for adjusting the current supplied to the resistor portion
  • Switching unit that switches to current control under specific conditions

Potential Applications: - Automotive industry for controlling electrical systems - Industrial automation for precise current control - Renewable energy systems for efficient power management

Problems Solved: - Precise control of duty ratio and current supply - Efficient switching between duty ratio and current control - Enhanced performance of onboard electrical systems

Benefits: - Improved energy efficiency - Enhanced system reliability - Optimal performance in various applications

Commercial Applications: Title: "Advanced Onboard Control Apparatus for Enhanced Energy Efficiency" This technology can be used in electric vehicles, smart grid systems, and industrial machinery for improved energy management and performance optimization.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the duty ratio control unit impact the overall efficiency of the system? 2. What are the key differences between duty ratio control and current control in this apparatus?

Original Abstract Submitted

An onboard control apparatus includes a duty ratio control unit, a current control unit, and a switching unit. The duty ratio control unit performs duty ratio control so as to turn a switch on and off at a set duty ratio. The current control unit performs current control so as to change the current to be supplied to the resistor portion while continuously supplying the current to the resistor portion. The switching unit switches, when a switching condition is established while the duty ratio control unit is performing the duty ratio control, to the current control by the current control unit.
