DYNAMIC POSITIONAL AUDIO - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18678466 titled 'DYNAMIC POSITIONAL AUDIO

The patent application describes a system and methods for providing dynamic positional audio.

  • Determining availability of devices to output audio and their location.
  • Receiving audio information and generating assigned audio information based on device location.
  • Transmitting assigned audio information to available devices.
      1. Potential Applications:

This technology could be used in virtual reality systems, gaming consoles, and entertainment venues to enhance the audio experience for users.

      1. Problems Solved:

This technology solves the problem of static audio output by dynamically adjusting audio based on the location of available devices.

      1. Benefits:

- Improved immersive audio experience - Enhanced spatial awareness in audio environments - Customized audio output based on device location

      1. Commercial Applications:

Dynamic positional audio technology could be integrated into virtual reality headsets, gaming peripherals, and home entertainment systems to provide users with a more realistic and engaging audio experience.

      1. Questions about Dynamic Positional Audio:

1. How does dynamic positional audio enhance the user experience in virtual reality environments? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing dynamic positional audio technology in consumer electronics?

Original Abstract Submitted

System and methods for providing dynamic positional audio are disclosed. Methods can comprise determining availability of one or more devices to output audio and determining a location of the one or more available devices. Audio information can be received and at least a portion of the audio information can be configured to generate assigned audio information based on the determined location of the available devices. The assigned audio information can be transmitted to the available devices.
