Original Abstract Submitted

In a multilayer ceramic capacitor, when defining a length in the length direction between a first and a second end surface of a multilayer body as l, defining a length in the width direction between a first and a second lateral surface of the multilayer body as w, and defining a length in the height direction between a first and a second main surface of the multilayer body as t, a dimensional relationship of w>l>t is satisfied, the fourth surface portion, the fifth surface portion, the ninth surface portion, and the tenth surface portion of a first external electrode include an opening portion at which a surface of the multilayer body is exposed, and the fourth surface portion, the ninth surface portion, the fifth surface portion, and the tenth surface portion include a protrusion that protrudes toward a center in the length direction.
