INHALATION DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18665588 titled 'INHALATION DEVICE

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes an inhalation device that heats a liquid to generate an aerosol for inhalation. It includes a liquid storage section, a heating section, an electric power supply section, and a control section.

  • The device heats the liquid to a specific temperature for vaporization.
  • It can also detect events that may trigger the heating process before predetermined conditions are met.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Inhalation device with liquid storage and heating sections.
  • Control section manages electric power for heating the liquid.
  • First heating process vaporizes the liquid at a specific temperature.
  • Second heating process activates when events indicate the need for heating.

Potential Applications: This technology can be used in medical inhalation devices, e-cigarettes, and vaporizers for recreational use.

Problems Solved: The device provides controlled heating of the liquid for consistent aerosol generation, enhancing user experience and safety.

Benefits:

  • Precise control over the heating process.
  • Efficient vaporization of the liquid for inhalation.
  • Enhanced safety features for users.

Commercial Applications: Potential commercial applications include medical inhalation devices, smoking cessation products, and recreational vaporizers for the consumer market.

Questions about the Technology: 1. How does the control section determine when to initiate the second heating process? 2. What safety measures are in place to prevent overheating of the liquid?

Original Abstract Submitted

An inhalation device equipped with a liquid storage section storing a liquid that generates an aerosol when heated, a heating section that heats the liquid, an electric power supply section that stores electric power, and a control section that controls the electric power supply from the electric power supply section to the heating section, wherein: when predetermined conditions determined in advance are satisfied, the control section controls the electric power supply to perform first heating to raise the temperature of the liquid to a first temperature, at which the liquid vaporizes, or higher; and when an event that is expected to cause the predetermined conditions to be satisfied is detected before the predetermined conditions are satisfied, the control section controls the electric power supply to perform second heating to make the temperature of the liquid to be a second heating temperature or higher but lower than the first temperature.
