COMMUNICATION DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18664459 titled 'COMMUNICATION DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes a communication device that transmits a radio frame with a preamble and a data field. The preamble includes various components like L-STF, L-LTF, L-SIG, EHT-SIG-A, EHT-STF, and EHT-LTF. The EHT-SIG-A subfield indicates the modulation scheme and code rate, which are used to modulate and encode the data in the data field. The subfield can designate either 2048 QAM or 4096 QAM as the modulation scheme.

  • Key Features and Innovation:
   - Transmission of radio frames with a specific preamble structure.
   - Use of EHT-SIG-A subfield to indicate modulation scheme and code rate.
   - Modulation and encoding of data based on the indicated scheme and rate.

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication device transmits a radio frame including a preamble and a data field of a physical (PHY) layer. The preamble includes an L-STF, an L-LTF, an L-SIG, an EHT-SIG-A, an EHT-STF, and an EHT-LTF, the EHT-SIG-A includes a subfield indicating information of a modulation scheme and a code rate (MCS, Modulation and Coding Scheme), the data field includes data modulated and encoded in accordance with the modulation scheme and the code rate indicated by the subfield, and the subfield is configured to be capable of designating one of at least 2048 QAM and 4096 QAM as the modulation scheme.
