Questions about Communication Terminal: 1. How does the distance measurement unit calculate the distance accurately? The distance measurement unit uses the communication results to calculate the distance between the terminal and the facility, ensuring precise measurements for effective control.

2. What are the key advantages of using an ultra-wideband signal for communication in this system? The ultra-wideband signal allows for high-speed, low-power communication, enabling efficient data transfer and seamless connectivity between the terminal and facilities.

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication terminal constitutes a facility control system together with a central controller controlling facilities capable of performing communication using an ultra wide band signal. The communication terminal includes: a communication unit communicating with the facilities using the ultra wide band signal; a distance measurement unit calculating a distance from the communication terminal to a facility as a counterpart in communication based on a result of the communication by the communication unit; a position estimation unit estimating a position of the communication terminal based on the distance calculated by the distance measurement unit; and a user information notification unit notifying the central controller of user information including position information indicating the position estimated by the position estimation unit and request information relating to control of the facility and having been acquired from a user, and causing the central controller to perform control in accordance with the notified user information.
