ELECTRONIC COMPONENT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18650228 titled 'ELECTRONIC COMPONENT

The abstract describes an electronic component with a body containing a first surface and multiple electrodes on that surface. The electrodes consist of base electrodes covered by a plating film. The component includes first-class electrodes connected by wiring lines passing through the body and a second-class electrode not connected to others. The second-class electrode protrudes more on the surface than the first-class electrodes.

  • The electronic component has a body with a first surface and multiple electrodes.
  • Each electrode includes a base electrode and a plating film.
  • There are first-class electrodes connected by wiring lines and a second-class electrode not connected to others.
  • The second-class electrode protrudes more on the surface than the first-class electrodes.

Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in various electronic devices requiring precise electrode placement. - It may find applications in sensors, actuators, or other components where controlled electrical connections are crucial.

Problems Solved: - Provides a method for organizing and connecting electrodes in electronic components. - Ensures precise placement and connection of electrodes within the component.

Benefits: - Improved reliability and performance of electronic components. - Enhanced control over electrical connections within the device.

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Electronic Component Technology for Enhanced Performance This technology could be valuable in the manufacturing of high-performance electronic devices, leading to improved functionality and reliability. Industries such as telecommunications, automotive, and consumer electronics could benefit from this innovation.

Questions about Electronic Component Technology: 1. How does the placement of the second-class electrode differ from the first-class electrodes? The second-class electrode protrudes more on the surface compared to the first-class electrodes, providing a distinct visual and structural difference. 2. What are the potential implications of this technology in the field of electronic component manufacturing? This technology could revolutionize the way electronic components are designed and manufactured, leading to more efficient and reliable devices.

Original Abstract Submitted

An electronic component includes: a body having a first surface; and a plurality of electrodes disposed on the first surface. Each of the plurality of electrodes includes a base electrode and a plating film covering the base electrode. The plurality of electrodes include: first-class electrodes individually disposed on the first surface and connected to each other by a wiring line passing through an inside of the body; and a second-class electrode individually disposed on the first surface and not connected to other electrodes of the plurality of electrodes. On the first surface, a second region in which the second-class electrode is disposed more protrudes than a first region in which each of the first-class electrodes is disposed.
