ACOUSTIC OUTPUT DEVICES - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18650028 titled 'ACOUSTIC OUTPUT DEVICES
The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a loudspeaker designed to convert an audio signal into a sound signal, along with a housing that carries the loudspeaker and features an outlet hole in acoustic communication with the loudspeaker. Additionally, a fixing mechanism supports the housing in a way that situates the outlet hole near a user's ear without blocking the earhole.
- Loudspeaker configured to convert audio signal into sound signal
- Housing carrying the loudspeaker with an outlet hole in acoustic communication
- Fixing mechanism supporting the housing near user's ear without blocking earhole
- Outlet hole projection within 20mm radius of user's earhole on the same sagittal plane
Potential Applications: - Personal audio devices - Communication headsets - Hearing aids
Problems Solved: - Ensures sound is directed towards the user's ear - Prevents blockage of the earhole - Provides a comfortable listening experience
Benefits: - Enhanced audio clarity - Improved user comfort - Precise sound delivery
Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Loudspeaker Technology for Personal Audio Devices This technology can be utilized in the development of personal audio devices, communication headsets, and hearing aids, enhancing the user experience and ensuring optimal sound delivery.
Questions about the technology: 1. How does the fixing mechanism ensure the outlet hole is positioned near the user's ear?
The fixing mechanism is designed to support the housing in a way that places the outlet hole within a specific radius of the user's ear, ensuring optimal sound delivery.
2. What are the potential applications of this technology beyond personal audio devices?
This technology can also be applied in communication headsets and hearing aids to improve sound delivery and user comfort.
Original Abstract Submitted
The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a loudspeaker configured to convert an audio signal into a sound signal; a housing configured to carry the loudspeaker and include an outlet hole in acoustic communication with the loudspeaker; and a fixing mechanism configured to support the housing such that the outlet hole is placed near an ear of a user and the housing does not block an earhole of the user, wherein on a same sagittal plane, a projection of the outlet hole is within a target region with a projection of the earhole of the user as a center and a radius of 20 mm.
