DIGITAL IDENTITY PROXY - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18649560 titled 'DIGITAL IDENTITY PROXY

The system described in the abstract is designed to facilitate data sharing between users and experience providers through the use of access tokens.

  • The processing circuit includes a processor and memory storing instructions for managing permissions for data sharing.
  • Users can receive offers from experience providers for access to their data.
  • The permission set can be reconfigured based on user input accepting the offer.
  • An access token is generated as a proxy to the permission set for the experience provider.
  • The access token is provided to the experience provider for accessing the user's data.
  • Data of the user is provided to the experience provider based on the access token.

Potential Applications: - Data sharing platforms - Personalized user experiences - Secure data access and sharing systems

Problems Solved: - Facilitating controlled data sharing between users and experience providers - Ensuring user consent and permission management for data access

Benefits: - Enhanced user control over data sharing - Improved security and privacy measures for data access - Streamlined process for sharing data with experience providers

Commercial Applications: Title: Secure Data Sharing System for Experience Providers This technology can be utilized in various industries such as e-commerce, social media, and online services to enhance user experiences and streamline data sharing processes.

Original Abstract Submitted

A system is provided that comprises a processing circuit communicably coupled with various circuits, and the processing circuit having at least one processor coupled to at least one memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the processing circuit to provide a permission set for data sharing to an experience provider, receive an offer as part of a request for access to data of the user from an experience provider computing system, reconfigure the permission set based on receiving an input from the user indicating the user accepts the offer, generate an access token that serves as a proxy to the permission set associated with the experience provider, provide the generated access token to the experience provider computing system, receive a subsequent request for data of the user from the experience provider computing system, and provide data of the user based on the access token.
