Polycarbonate compositions comprising one or more additives selected from the group consisting of benzofuranone stabilizers of formula I, wherein R, R, R, Rand Rare each independently hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy, C-Calkyl, C-Calkenyl, C-Calkynyl, C-Cphenylalkyl, phenyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Cgalkoxy, C-Calkylamine, di(C-Calkyl)amino, C-Calkanoyloxy, C-Calkanoylamino, C-Calkenoyloxy, C-Calkanoyloxy interrupted by one to three —O—, —S—, —NH— or —N(C-Calkyl)-, wherein C-Calkyl, C-Calkenyl, C-Calkynyl, C-Cphenylalkyl, phenyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Calkoxy, C-Calkylamine, di(C-Calkyl)amino, C-Calkanoyloxy, C-Calkanoylamino, C-Calkenoyloxy and interrupted C-Calkenoyloxy are unsubstituted or substituted by one to three groups selected from halogen, hydroxy, thiol, amino, C-Calkylamino, di(C-Calkyl)amino and C-Calkyl.
