SHIPPING MOBILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18635415 titled 'SHIPPING MOBILITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

The patent application describes a shipping mobility management system that includes a mobile-object information database, a 3D drawing DB, a management server, and a 3D map generating unit.

  • Mobile-object information database contains basic information and 3D modeling of each moving object.
  • 3D drawing DB stores a 3D map representing a place where the moving objects are located.
  • Management server matches moving object information received from the outside with a moving object in the database and records its location.
  • 3D map generating unit combines the 3D modeling of the moving object with the 3D map to generate a 3D map.

Potential Applications: - Logistics and supply chain management - Fleet tracking and management - Urban transportation planning

Problems Solved: - Efficient tracking and management of moving objects - Real-time monitoring of object locations - Improved decision-making in logistics operations

Benefits: - Enhanced visibility and control over moving objects - Optimization of transportation routes - Increased operational efficiency

Commercial Applications: Title: "Enhanced Shipping Mobility Management System for Logistics Operations" This technology can be used by logistics companies, transportation agencies, and urban planners to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance overall productivity.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does this system improve the tracking and management of moving objects? 2. What are the key advantages of using a 3D map in the shipping mobility management system?

Original Abstract Submitted

A shipping mobility management system may include a mobile-object information database that contains basic information and 3D modeling of each moving object with respect to a plurality of moving objects, a 3D drawing DB that stores a 3D map which is a 3D representation of a map representing a place where the plurality of moving objects is located, a management server that finds a moving object matched with moving object information received from the outside in the mobile-object information DB, and records the moving object location received from the outside in association with the found moving object information in the mobile-object information DB, and a 3D map generating unit that generates a 3D map by combining the 3D modeling of the found moving object with the 3D map.
