COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, NETWORK NODE AND METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18619483 titled 'COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, NETWORK NODE AND METHOD

The communication apparatus described in the patent application is designed to receive time information from a network in a non-access stratum (NAS) message, which is used for configuring a tracking area (TA) list.

  • The apparatus includes a memory storing a program and one or more processors to execute the program.
  • It receives the NAS message with time information for TA list configuration.
  • The time information is extracted from the NAS message.
  • Based on this time information, the apparatus transmits a message to the network with the information needed to configure the TA list.

Potential Applications: - This technology can be used in mobile communication systems to efficiently manage tracking areas. - It can improve network performance by optimizing the configuration of TA lists based on real-time information.

Problems Solved: - Efficient management of tracking areas in mobile communication systems. - Real-time optimization of TA list configuration for better network performance.

Benefits: - Enhanced network efficiency and performance. - Real-time adaptation to changing network conditions. - Improved user experience in mobile communication.

Commercial Applications: Title: Real-time Tracking Area List Configuration in Mobile Communication Systems This technology can be valuable for telecommunications companies, network operators, and mobile device manufacturers looking to enhance network efficiency and user experience.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does this technology improve network performance in mobile communication systems? 2. What are the key advantages of real-time TA list configuration based on time information?

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication apparatus includes: a memory storing a program; and one or more processors configured to execute the program to: receive, from a network, a non-access stratum, NAS, message including time information for transmission of information used for configuring a tracking area, TA, list; obtain the time information included in the NAS message; and transmit, to the network, a message including the information used for configuring the TA list based on the time information.
