IMAGING DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18610634 titled 'IMAGING DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Simplified Explanation: The imaging device described in the patent application generates a potential higher than the potential supplied to a pixel, utilizing a first circuit and a second circuit within the pixel. The first circuit combines two potentials to create a third potential, which is then applied to the photoelectric conversion device in the second circuit to generate and output data.

  • The imaging device generates a higher potential in a pixel than the supplied potential.
  • The device consists of a first circuit and a second circuit within the pixel.
  • The first circuit adds two potentials to create a third potential.
  • The third potential is applied to the photoelectric conversion device in the second circuit.
  • The second circuit generates and outputs data based on the applied potential.

Potential Applications: 1. Digital cameras and imaging sensors. 2. Medical imaging devices. 3. Security cameras and surveillance systems.

Problems Solved: 1. Enhances image quality by generating a higher potential in pixels. 2. Improves sensitivity and accuracy of photoelectric conversion devices. 3. Enables better performance in low-light conditions.

Benefits: 1. Higher quality images with improved detail and clarity. 2. Enhanced performance in challenging lighting environments. 3. Increased accuracy and sensitivity in capturing visual data.

Commercial Applications: The technology can be utilized in the development of advanced digital cameras, medical imaging equipment, and security systems, enhancing image quality and performance in various applications.

Questions about Imaging Device Technology: 1. How does the imaging device improve image quality compared to traditional devices? 2. What are the potential limitations of using this technology in different lighting conditions?

Frequently Updated Research: Ongoing research focuses on optimizing the potential generation process in pixels to further enhance image quality and performance in imaging devices.
