BATTERY MODULE ASSEMBLY - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18607264 titled 'BATTERY MODULE ASSEMBLY

The battery module assembly described in the patent application consists of multiple battery modules mounted on a frame, extending in different directions and connected by a control circuit.

  • The battery modules are divided into two groups: one group is fixed on the frame and connected to each other, while the other group is detachable and connected in parallel to the first group.
  • The control circuit manages the electrical connection between the battery modules and the output terminals of the assembly.
  • The detachable battery modules can be removed from the frame in a direction perpendicular to the other two directions.

Potential Applications: - Electric vehicles - Energy storage systems - Portable electronic devices

Problems Solved: - Efficient battery module arrangement - Easy maintenance and replacement of battery modules

Benefits: - Improved flexibility in battery module configuration - Simplified maintenance process - Enhanced scalability for different applications

Commercial Applications: Title: Innovative Battery Module Assembly for Diverse Applications This technology can be utilized in various industries such as electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and consumer electronics, offering a versatile and efficient power solution.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does the detachable feature of the battery modules enhance the overall functionality of the assembly?

  - The detachable feature allows for easy maintenance and replacement of battery modules, increasing the flexibility and longevity of the assembly.

2. What are the advantages of connecting the second group of battery modules in parallel to the first group?

  - Connecting the second group in parallel increases the overall capacity and efficiency of the battery module assembly.

Original Abstract Submitted

A battery module assembly includes a plurality of battery modules mounted on a lower portion of the frame, each extending in a first longitudinal direction, and arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction, and a control circuit configured to control an electrical connection between each of the plurality of battery modules and each of the first and second output terminals, the plurality of battery modules include a first group of battery modules mounted on the lower portion of the frame and electrically connected to each other, and a second group of battery modules separably mounted on the lower portion of the frame and electrically connected to each other, and the second group of battery modules are connected in parallel to the first group of battery modules, and are detachable from the frame in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction.
