PRINTING DEVICE AND PRINTING METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18604559 titled 'PRINTING DEVICE AND PRINTING METHOD

The abstract of the patent application describes a printing device with a unique print head configuration that prints a test pattern in a specific manner.

  • The printing device includes a control unit and a print head with four nozzle rows arranged along a second direction.
  • The test pattern is printed using a main scan and a sub-scan, with the pattern including four line groups that are shifted from each other by a specific distance.
  • The first line group and the third line group overlap, as do the second line group and the fourth line group when viewed from the second direction.

Potential Applications: - This technology could be used in industrial printing applications where precise and accurate printing is required. - It could also be utilized in the production of high-resolution images and graphics.

Problems Solved: - The technology solves the problem of misalignment in printing, ensuring that the printed output is accurate and consistent. - It also addresses the issue of nozzle clogging by optimizing the printing process.

Benefits: - Improved print quality and accuracy. - Enhanced efficiency in printing processes. - Reduced maintenance requirements due to optimized printing methods.

Commercial Applications: Title: Advanced Printing Technology for High-Resolution Applications This technology could be commercialized for use in large-scale printing operations, such as in the production of billboards, banners, and other promotional materials. Original Abstract Submitted

A printing device includes a control unit, and the print head including a first nozzle row, a second nozzle row, a third nozzle row, and a fourth nozzle row arrayed along a second direction. A test pattern is printed by a main scan and a sub-scan, and the control unit prints the test pattern so as to include a first line group, a second line group, a third line group, and a fourth line group, and prints the test pattern so that the first line group and the third line group and the second line group and the fourth line group are shifted from each other by a first distance shorter than the nozzle interval in the first direction, and the first line group and the third line group overlap and the second line group and the fourth line group overlap when viewed from the second direction.
