HEAT PUMP CYCLE DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18602846 titled 'HEAT PUMP CYCLE DEVICE
Simplified Explanation:
This patent application describes a heat pump cycle device that controls the pressure difference in the system to achieve optimal performance.
- The device includes a compressor, a branching unit, a heating unit, a depressurizing unit, a bypass passage, a flow-rate adjusting unit, a mixing unit, and a target pressure difference determining unit.
- The target pressure difference determining unit calculates a target pressure difference based on the difference between suctioned refrigerant pressure and discharge refrigerant pressure.
- The operation of the compressor, depressurizing unit, or flow-rate adjusting unit is controlled to maintain the pressure difference close to the target value.
Key Features and Innovation:
- Control system to adjust pressure difference for optimal performance.
- Target pressure difference calculation for efficient operation.
- Integration of various units to regulate the system effectively.
Potential Applications:
- HVAC systems
- Refrigeration units
- Industrial cooling systems
Problems Solved:
- Inefficient heat pump operation
- Lack of control over pressure differences
- Energy wastage in heating and cooling processes
Benefits:
- Improved energy efficiency
- Enhanced performance of heat pump systems
- Cost savings in operation
Commercial Applications:
The technology can be applied in various industries such as HVAC, refrigeration, and industrial cooling systems to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Questions about Heat Pump Cycle Device:
1. How does the target pressure difference determining unit calculate the optimal pressure difference? 2. What are the potential cost savings for commercial applications of this technology?
Original Abstract Submitted
A heat pump cycle device includes a compressor, a branching unit, a heating unit, a heating-unit-side depressurizing unit, a bypass passage, a bypass flow-rate adjusting unit, a mixing unit, and a target pressure difference determining unit. The target pressure difference determining unit determines a target pressure difference as a target value of a pressure difference determined by subtracting a suctioned refrigerant pressure from a discharge refrigerant pressure. An operation of at least one of the compressor, the heating-unit-side depressurizing unit, or the bypass flow-rate adjusting unit is controlled so that the pressure difference comes close to the target pressure difference.
