PUSCH TRANSMISSION USING AN AGGREGATION FACTOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18601674 titled 'PUSCH TRANSMISSION USING AN AGGREGATION FACTOR

The patent application describes a method for PUSCH transmission using an aggregation factor, involving the selection of a physical random access channel preamble, transmission of the preamble, reception of a random access response message with an uplink grant, and transmission of the physical uplink shared channel with a specific aggregation factor.

  • User equipment selects a physical random access channel preamble.
  • The preamble is transmitted.
  • Upon receiving a random access response message with an uplink grant, the physical uplink shared channel is transmitted with a specific aggregation factor.
  • The user equipment is configured with a second physical uplink shared channel aggregation factor.

Original Abstract Submitted

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for PUSCH transmission using an aggregation factor. One method includes selecting, at a user equipment, a physical random access channel preamble. The method includes transmitting the physical random access channel preamble. The method includes, in response to transmitting the physical random access channel preamble, receiving a random access response message comprising an uplink grant for transmission of a physical uplink shared channel. The method includes transmitting the physical uplink shared channel according to the uplink grant using a first physical uplink shared channel aggregation factor. The user equipment is configured with a second physical uplink shared channel aggregation factor.
