ROBOT CONTROL SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18600959 titled 'ROBOT CONTROL SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation: The robot control system described in the patent application allows for remote operation of robots through communication with operation terminals. The system acquires input information from the operation terminals, determines tasks for the robots based on this input, and controls the motion of the robots accordingly.

  • The system includes a communication unit for input and output with operation terminals.
  • An acquisition unit acquires operation input information from the operation terminals.
  • A task determining unit sets tasks for the robots based on the acquired operation details.
  • The system determines whether the task requires automatic control or input from an operator.
  • A motion control unit then controls the robot's motion based on the determined task.

Key Features and Innovation:

  • Remote operation of robots through communication with operation terminals.
  • Task determination based on acquired operation details.
  • Distinction between automatic control tasks and tasks requiring operator input.
  • Motion control based on the determined task.

Potential Applications: The technology can be applied in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare for remote operation and control of robots.

Problems Solved: The system streamlines the process of controlling robots remotely, improving efficiency and accuracy in various industries.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced remote operation of robots.
  • Improved task determination and motion control.
  • Increased efficiency and accuracy in operations.

Commercial Applications: The technology can be utilized in manufacturing plants, warehouses, hospitals, and other settings where remote operation of robots is required for tasks.

Questions about Robot Control Systems: 1. How does the communication unit in the system facilitate remote operation of robots? 2. What are the benefits of distinguishing between automatic control tasks and tasks requiring operator input in the task determination process?

Original Abstract Submitted

A robot control system includes: a communication unit configured to input and output information from and to one or more operation terminals remotely operating at least one of one or more robots; an acquisition unit configured to acquire operation input information which is input by the operation terminal; a task determining unit configured to set a task of the robot on the basis of operation details acquired by the acquisition unit and to determine which of an automatic control process and an input-requiring process requiring an input from an operator the task is; and a motion control unit configured to control a motion of the robot on the basis of automatic control data of the automatic control process and the operation input information input for the input-requiring process determined by the task determining unit.
